Categories: Faithfulness, Obediance, Seeking GodGood Morning, According to the scripture, we are to be buried into Christ's death through baptism, then as Christ was resurrected from death, we too arise to walk in newness of life. Romas 6. In this new life we are to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. Colossians 1.10. Christians are to grow in the character traits of godliness. This is accomplished through God's divine power, by which He grants us everything pertaining to life and godliness. For this reason also, we must apply diligently to our faith, virtue, knowledge, self control, steadfastness, godliness, brotherly affection, and love. For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they render you neither useless nor unfruitful in the true knowledge of our Lord, Jesus the Christ. Therefore brethren, be all the more diligent to make certain about His calling and choosing you; for as long as you practice these things, you will never stumble. see 2 Peter 1. Having obeyed the gospel of Christ, we are in the Kingdom which He established. But heaven is not yet our home which is the eternal Kingdom we await. And we wait for it with eager anticipation.
