Be not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation. Romans 1.16. For in the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith as it is written, the righteous shall live by faith. Romans 1.17. The gospel is the righteousness of God revealed. Do not be like the Jews who rejected the the gospel thinking thry could have salvation by their own Jewish system of morality. Only God, who is our sovereign ruler has the right to set the way of salvation separating those who will be saved and those who will be lost. Through the death of Jesus, the door of forgiveness has been open to all the world, to all who will obey His gospel. Christ died so we might live! There is no other way but His. See John 14.6.
