The importance of the resurrection of Jesus-Jack Blake
Saturday, June 15, 2024Good Morning,
The Apostles through Jesus Christ received grace and Aposleship by their obedience to their faith among all nations for His name. Jesus, our Lord was born of the seed of David according to the flesh, but declared to be the Son of God with power according to the Spirit of holiness by the resurrection from the dead. Yet even His disciples, including the Apostles, after seeing all His miracles, and heard all of His preaching and had become believers Matthew 16.13-16, had their hopes weakened when Jesus was crucified. Their thoughts were since He was dead, He could not have been the Messiah. But they, even Thomas, understood the true meaning of the resurrection after they saw Him with their own eyes after He was resurrected from the dead. They were doubters at the crucifixion but they became evangelists and It was the resurrection that convicted their hearts and changed their minds.

Tear Down to Build Up-Jack Blake
Wednesday, March 06, 2024Greetings Brethren and Friends,
When I look around the small community in which I live, I see old buildings being torn down and new buildings erected in their place. And I am reminded that when we become followers of Christ we put off (tear down) the old man and his sinful ways, and put on (build up) a new man renewed in knowledge according to the image of our Creator. The old man is completely destroyed, freeing us from all our old ways of sin that structured our life. And a new man is erected with godly ways to structure our lives with love, mercy, kindness and forgiveness, praising and honoring God in all we do, think, and speak.
