Walking Worthy-Jack Blake

Monday, December 02, 2024

Good Morning,  According to the scripture, we are to be buried into Christ's death through baptism, then as Christ was resurrected from death, we too arise to walk in newness of life. Romas 6. In this new life we are to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. Colossians 1.10. Christians are to grow in the character traits of godliness. This is accomplished through God's divine power, by which He grants us everything pertaining to life and godliness. For this reason also, we must apply diligently to our faith, virtue, knowledge, self control, steadfastness, godliness, brotherly affection, and love. For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they render you neither useless nor unfruitful in the true knowledge of our Lord, Jesus the Christ. Therefore brethren, be all the more diligent to make certain about His calling and choosing you; for as long as you practice these things, you will never stumble. see 2 Peter 1. Having obeyed the gospel of Christ, we are in the Kingdom which He established. But heaven is not yet our home which is the eternal Kingdom we await. And we wait for it with eager anticipation. See Philippians 3.12-14; 23 Peter 3.11-13; 1 John 3.2,3.

A Friendly Question-Jack Blake

Wednesday, November 27, 2024

Good Morning,  A friend asks a question: "Wouldn't life be better if people were as enthused and excited about the Lord's day as they are about Black Friday?" I answered, yes, yes it definitely would be. And true followers of the Lord are! Christians look forward to the first day of the week, "The Lord's day" with great joy, excited to be with others of like precious faith to study and hear the word of God. Our mind and thoughts are on heavenly things, which bring life. So shop on Black Friday if you wish, but whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him, God the Father. Colossians 3.17.

Seek His Face-Jack Blake

Tuesday, November 26, 2024

Good Morning,  God has created everyone, of every nation, every kindred, every tongue. All are created in His image. I can do nothing without Him. Without His love, I am nothing. But through Christ who strengthens me, I can do all things. Seek the Lord and His strength, Seek His face evermore.  John 16.5;1 Corinthians 13.2; Philippians. 4.13; Psalms 105.4

Is Your Heart Right With God-Jack Blake

Friday, November 22, 2024

Good Morning,  The Lord does not see as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart. 1 Samuel 16.7. This being true, God desires the heart that is pure, humble, loving and obedient. A heart that listens, hears and does God's will pleases the God of our salvation. Man's circumstances and troubles of this world may test our faith and our patience, but it is the righteous God who tests the heart and mind and saves the upright in heart. Jesus the Christ said, "Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God." Matthew 5.8. Where lies your heart this morning? Will it pass the test of God? Is your heart right with God?

The Eye is the Lamp of the Body-Jack Blake

Monday, November 18, 2024

Good Morning,  The lamp of the body is the eye according to the scriptures. If the eye is good the whole body is filled with light. If the eye is bad the whole body is filled with darkness. If the light in us is darkness, how great is that darkness? Turn your eyes upon Jesus and His cross and let the light of His word so shine that others will see your good works and glorify the Father in heaven.  Matthew 6.22-23; Matthew 5.16; Luke 11.34-36.
