Once we were lost, dying in sin according to the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eye and the pride of life. Thanks be to our God, we heard the gospel call and by faith obeyed it. We were buried with Christ Jesus in baptism and He washed away our repented past sins and now we no longer walk according to the ways of the world but now walk in newness of life. The world does not know us because it did not know Him. Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed upon us that we should be called the children of God!
