Thankfulness
God's Chosen One-Jack Blake
Friday, April 12, 2024Greetings,
Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God (Matthew 16.16), who has been given all authority in heaven and on earth and has commanded us to go and make disciples of all the nations (Matthew 28.18,19). If we love Him we will keep His commandments, I say it again, if we love Him we will keep His commandments. He is the way, the truth, and the life, and the only way to the Father is through Him (John 14.6). He is the Son of God (John 20.31), and the son of man (Luke 22.48). He is our hope and faith and mystery of godliness (1 Timothy 1.1, 14; 3.16). He is God's chosen one to descend from His heavenly place to this low ground of sin and sorrow, to suffer and die for the world's sin. Jesus is all of this and so much more, to Him I owe my life.
Rejoice, Pray, Be Thankful-Jack Blake
Thursday, March 07, 2024Greetings Brethren and Friends,
Rejoice in the Lord, O you righteous! For praise from the upright is beautiful-Psalms 33.1. Rejoice in the Lord always-Philippians 4.4. Rejoice always-1 Thessalonians 5.16. Pray without ceasing-1 Thessalonians 5.17, for men always ought to pray and not lose heart-Luke 18.1. In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you-1 Thessalonians 5.18. Oh, give thanks to the Lord for He is good! For His mercy endures forever-Psalms 107.1. Give thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ-Ephesians 5.20.
Increase Our Faith-Jack Blake
Friday, February 23, 2024Greetings Brethren and Friends, .
Faith, love, patience, forgiveness and encouragement are all attributes of Jesus. And as His disciples, we are to be of His same mind and follow His pattern in life. But we sometimes fall short of His standards for living the Christian life. And sadly the world is watching.
Father, increase our faith, help us to love as You love us, with patience and understanding, forgiving and encouraging one another as You have taught us.
In Jesus Name, AMEN
Lest We Forget-Jack Blake
Monday, December 25, 2023Good Morning Friends,
Wishing all a Merry Christmas, and a blessed day.
While there is NO proof, biblical nor scientific that God's beloved Son, the author of eternal salvation to those who obey Him, the author and finisher of our faith, was born on this day. We are joyful, and thankful for His birth. For without Bethlehem, there would have been no cross on Calvary. No death, no burial, no resurrection, no hope for eternal life. So let us not forget to be joyful, and thankful every day for His birth.
And even though there is no command to remember His birth, never forget that He has commanded us to remember His death, burial and resurrection, the price He paid for our sins and the hope we have for eternal life.
So to all, especially the beloved saints of God, may His grace and peace be with us, may His peace rule in our hearts today, as we gather with friends and family. And do not forget to gather with our church family on the first day of every week to remember the ultimate price He paid for our sins. His death, burial, and resurrection, without which there would be no forgiveness of sins, nor hope of eternal life.
