Plants need food, sunlight, water and air to help them grow and sustain them.  Also man's soul needs food (spiritual), the Son's light, pure living waters and God's breathed word to help us to grow in the spiritual realm and be productive in His Kingdom.  Being thankful, praising God.

It's such a pretty day today in St. John  The sun is brightly shining and God is showing His splendor and beauty in all the eye can see and the hands touch.

Father, thank you for this day you have provided for us, for your word on which we stand that guides us and gives us hope and reason to go on.  The heavens truly declare your glory and the firmament shows your handiwork. Psalms 19.1.  While even though our outward man is perishing yet the inner man is being renewed day by day 2 Corinthians 4.16, as we study your word to hear and do Your will.  Thank you, Father, for all you do to help us on our journey through this pilgrim land to our eternal, heavenly home.  In Jesus name we pray. AMEN

Our God is an awesome God; He does not change Malachi 3.6.  And according to the scriptures, His beloved Son, Jesus the Christ, is the same yesterday, today and forever Hebrews 13.  This describes God, our God, and He will remain so to the faithful forever and ever.  He is our guide even till death. Psalms 48.14.  You, Lord, are the same and Your years will have no end. Psalms 102.27.  Yes, the Lord lives and great are His promises to all who will trust and obey.  Let us on bended knee be thankful to Him for He is good; His mercy endures forever. Psalms 107.1

Thank You, Father, for Your word which endures forever, 1 Peter 1.23-25. even though heaven and earth will pass away, Your word will not from Matthew 24.35, Your word, Lord, is settled in heaven forever Psalms 119.89.  You are my strength that helps me in times of trouble Psalms 46.1.  Your name is my strong tower where there is safety. Proverbs 18.10.  You establish me and keep me from evil. 2 Thessalonians 3.3.  You are the God of my salvation.  And thank you for Your beloved Son, Jesus, and His sacrifice for my sins and His resurrection wherein lies my hope.  In Jesus dear and precious name this prayer is given.
