Foundation of Faith-Jack Blake
Thursday, May 09, 2024Good Morning,
As for God, His way is perfect, His word, which is truth, is proven over and over again. The Lord, my God, is my solid rock, the foundation on which I build my faith. He is my fortress and my deliverer, my strength in whom I trust fully. He is my shield, and stronghold. I call upon the Lord who is worthy to be praised. ( See Psalms 18.2,3). I humble myself under the mighty hand of my God and cast all my cares upon Him, that in due time He may exalt me, for I know He cares for me. (See 1 Peter 5.6,7). Oh, magnify the Lord my God with me, and together let us exalt His name. (from Psalms 34.3).
True Wisdom-Jack Blake
Saturday, May 04, 2024Good Morning,
It is written: I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. Worldly wisdom mislabels things. Man labeled the message of the cross of Christ and the salvation that comes by His death as foolishness. (1 Corinthians 1.18,21,23). Human wisdom cannot stand against God and He affirms "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. (V19). Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? (V20). The world does not know God. (v21). Worldly wisdom cannot compete with godly wisdom, for His so called foolishness is wiser than men. (V25). When the wise man, Solomon said " Get wisdom! Get understanding! in (Proverbs 4.5) He was speaking of godly and not worldly wisdom and understanding. For He continues in chapter 9. and verse 10, that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. So study the word of God to gain wisdom and understanding, for scripture tells us the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God (1 Corinthians 3.19) and your faith should not be in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. (1 Corinthians 2.5).
Trust and Obey-Jack Blake
Tuesday, April 30, 2024Good Morning
Blessed be the Lord our God who blesses us every day with His lovingkindness, mercy, grace and all that is good. He is our refuge and our strength, a real help in times of trouble. ( Psalms 46.1). In Him alone is eternal life, without Him is death and eternal damnation.
Reading from Jeremiah 17.7; Blessed is he who trusts in the Lord and whose hope is in the Lord. Trust and obey Him for He is the rock of our salvation, His word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. (Psalm 119.105) Brethren and friends, God is our only hope. God gives and takes life as He chooses. We have life now, but no one knows when our last breath will be drawn.
Thanks for reading.
God's Protection-Jack Blake
Saturday, April 27, 2024Good Morning,
We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed. (2 Corinthians 4.8-9). Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me; You will stretch out Your hand against the wrath of my enemies. (Psalms 138.7). Let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. (Galatians 6.9). Be of good courage and He will strengthen your heart, all you who hope in the Lord. (Psalms 31.24). And let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. Thus says the Lord. (John 14.1).
Father, we thank you For Jesus and for Your word. Lord we know we are living now in evil, wicked, troubled times in this world. Be with us and help us to not grow weary in doing Your good works, Give us courage and strength to stand firm in the faith and contend earnestly for the faith which was once delivered to the saints. Steady us that we might always remain steadfast, immovable always abounding in your work Lord, for we know that Your work is not in vain. In Jesus name we pray. AMEN
The Solid Foundation of God-Jack Blake
Thursday, April 25, 2024Good Morning,
The solid foundation of God stands. having this seal: "the Lord knows those who are His, and let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity." Build your faith on the solid rock, Jesus Christ, our Lord. Be diligent to grow in the grace and knowledge of God the Father and His beloved Son, Jesus the Christ, who has redeemed us from the bondage of sin. Flee youthful lusts; pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart. Do not now weary in doing good, and contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the Saints. Build and maintain your faith and trust on the solid rock of God.
