Seeking God
Thinking of God-Jack Blake
Monday, May 20, 2024Good Morning,
What beautiful thoughts I am thinking of Jesus and the pattern He has left us about how to live a pure and blameless life. How He has taught us the true meaning of love and forgiveness toward others. How He speaks of the persecutions we may face in this life and how He will never leave us nor forsake in these times but will be our help during these times of danger. How He gave His life for us so we might have life and have it more abundantly. My faith looks up to thee, Lord, my will I surrender to Your will. I must have Jesus to guide me, guard me and protect me against the evils of this ungodly generation. It is unreal that He has taught me all that is good, and only requires of me to do justly, love mercy and walk humbly with my God.
What beautiful thoughts I am thinking. Thank You Father for Your Son, for your word, and for Your love which gives us salvation.
Seek Purity-Jack Blake
Tuesday, May 14, 2024Good Morning,
The heart is decietful above all things and desperately wicked. (Jeremiah 17.9). For out of the heart proceeds evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness and blasphemies. These are things which defile a man. (Matthew 15.19). A man's heart reveals the man. (Proverbs 27.19).
Jesus said in His sermon on the mount: Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God. (Matthew 5.8). Therefore if we are to be blessed with seeing God, we must purify our hearts (James 4.8), meditate on things that are pure (Philippians 4.8), serve with a good conscience (2 Timothy 1.3), and keep ourself pure. (1 Timothy 5.22).
God Purpose for Us-Jack Blake
Monday, May 13, 2024Good Morning,
If you are reading this, it is because God gave you rest and sleep during the night and has now awaken you to face another day of life on this planet. He has a purpose for you and that is to live for Him this day. So start the day with prayer of thanksgiving, then humble yourself under His mighty hand. Serve Him well by surrendering your will to His, and strive to do all that you can to bring praise and glory to His name. Be steadfast, be sure keep the vows you have made to the Master. Do not consent with idolators, aduterers, fornicators or those who in any way reject the holy, inspired word of God by teaching and approving of the very things which He abhors. Seek God and His beloved Son Jesus the Christ. Expose all forms of wickedness, depart from evil and do Good, then you will be victorious In Jesus and have hope of eternal life with Him.
Compromise the Spirit-Jack Blake
Friday, May 10, 2024Good Morning,
In Judges 21.25, we read "everyone did what was right in his own eyes." And in 2 Timothy 3:1-5 Paul gives warning that in the last days. (in which we are living) perilous times will come: men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, head strong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of GOD, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! Friends and brethren, sin is active and on the move, it is never satisfied. Spiritual compromise always leads to moral corruption.
Father, thank You for Jesus and for Your word. Help Your obedient faithful children to not be deceived by cruel, unfaithful men of this ungodly and perverse generation. Keep us in Your protection, and give us strength to endure the ways of the world. In Jesus name, AMEN
Sins of Ignorance-Jack Blake
Wednesday, May 08, 2024Good Morning,
The God inspired word has plainly told us that those who do not know Him and do not obey the gospel of Christ will be separated from Him for all eternity. (See Matthew 25.31-46; 2 Thessalonians 1.7-9; 1 John 2.3-6). It is our individual responsibility to seek God (See Acts 17.27; Hebrews 11.6). If we do not seek Him and serve Him we are without excuse. (Romans 11.19-22; Psalms 19.1). It is a sad thing that many sincere religious people believe they are serving God. They should consider Paul before His conversion and they would see that like Paul they are mistaken and are still dead in their sins. (See Proverbs 14,12; Romans 10.1-3). Even after we become Christians we are commanded to keep studying the word that keeps us from being led astray by false teaching in ignorance. (1 Timothy 4.13-16; 2 Timothy 2.15-18; 2 Peter 3. 15-18). May we all diligently study to make sure we are not living in sins of ignorance. Then let us labor tirelessly to reach out and teach those who do not know God or His plan for salvation. (1 Corinthians 15.58; Galatians 6.9).
