Greetings Friends and Brethren,

So God created man in His own image, according to His likeness He created man - Genesis 1.26.  Then God caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam, took one of his ribs and closed up the flesh in its place.  With the rib he took from Adam, He made into a woman, creating them in His image: MALE AND FEMALE He created them - Genesis 2.21-22; 1.27.  He done this so man would not be alone and would have a helper comparable to him - Genesis 2.18.  It was the eternal, everlasting God who done these things and they were done for His purpose.  Woe to those who think they can change what God has created.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge-Proverbs 1.7.  The beginning of wisdom-Proverbs 9.10.  Leads to life-Proberbs 19.23.  Prolongs days-Proverbs 10.27.  Hates evil-Proverbs 8.13.  By the fear of the Lord one departs from evil-Proverbs 16.6.  So fear the Lord and depart from evil, it will be health to your flesh and strength to your bones-Proverbs 3.7.

According to the scriptures we (Mankind) are made in the image of God-Genesis 1.27.  We were not created in His image as flesh and bones, as some, (even some in the brotherhood) might believe.  God is not flesh and bones.  In John 4.24, Jesus said, "God is Spirit."  Again in Luke 24.39, the Master said, "The spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see I have."  That is while he was the son of man.  The Hebrew writer said, God is the father of spirits-Hebrews 12.9.  And again the Savior said in John 3.6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.  These and many other scriptures make clear that it is the spiritual man that was created in God's image.  It has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed , we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. Read again John 4.24, God is Spirit. We are to be raised a spiritual body-1 Corinthians 15.44.
