Do You Know My Jesus-Jack Blake
Tuesday, February 11, 2025Good Morning, God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. 1 John 1.5. We can know Him, if we keep His commandments. If we say we know Him and do not keep His commandments, we lie and the truth is not in us. But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in Him and by this we know we are in Him. See 1 John 2.3-5. There is a hymn we sing written by William F. Leakey and V. B. Ellis which asks, "Do you know my Jesus, Do you know my friend, have you heard He loves you and that He will abide till the end?" As with all hymns, we should give pause to the meaning of the words.
Careless Soul Do Not Linger-Jack Blake
Saturday, February 08, 2025Good Morning, To be pleasing to God and successful in our service to Him, it is necessary for the disciple to study His word on a regular, consistent basis. Its is that inspired word that not only testifies of Him, but gives us guidance in this life to all things that pertain to life and godliness and prepares us for eternal life with the Master. Careless soul, why do you linger while the fleeting years go by? From my heart to yours.
Something to ponder-Jack Blake
Tuesday, January 21, 2025Good Morning, The Lord has shown man what is good. And what does the Lord require of us but to do justly, to love mercy and to walk humbly with our God? Disciples, according to the scriptures are to have the mind of Christ and follow the pattern He has given us. We are to hate evil; love and seek what is good that we may live. Micah 6.8; Philippians 2.5; Amos 5.14-15.
The Heart-Jack Blake
Saturday, January 04, 2025Good Morning, According to the scriptures, the heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked. Jeremiah 17.9. for out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness and blasphemies. Matthew 15.19. The Lord looks at the heart 1 Samuel 16.7. and searches the heart, and tests the mind to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings. Jeremiah 17.10. So beware brethren. lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God; exhort one another daily lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. Hebrews 3.12-13. Thank You, Lord, for Your word and for Your Son, Jesus the Christ, author and finisher of our faith. In whose name we pray. AMEN
Guidance through His Word-Jack Blake
Saturday, December 07, 2024Good Morning, Our adversary, the devil, is having a field day prowling around to see who he can devour. He makes sin look so inviting, good and enjoyable that many are falling for his schemes, some even leaving God for what satan tries to make us believe, is a life of ease and comfort. But to the faithful servant of God, we can see through satan's wicked, evil ways and turn to God who loves and cares for us. Through His word we find guidance to live in this world of evil and wickedness. Because of His love and mercy we have hope. Through the avenue of prayer we receive strength and courage to remain steadfast and grounded in the faith that was once for all given to the Saints. Turn your eyes upon Jesus for He cares for you.
