Forgiveness of God-Jack Blake
Wednesday, October 02, 2024Good Morning,
Our past sins were the result of character traits that the disciple must get rid of. All past sins which we have truly repented of, God has forgiven and we must replace them by virtues of God's character, see 2 Peter 1.3-11. This does not happen overnight, but is a process which takes time and patience. It is also necessary that we are diligent in the study, hearing and doing His will. Transformation is a rebuilding of our character and does not happen automatically by divine decree, we must embrace the process actively with all our heart and submit to God's training, however long it may take. Failure to do so can and probably will result in returning to our old character of sinful living. God have mercy and increase our faith. AMEN
To Whom Should We Go-Jack Blake
Monday, September 23, 2024Good Morning,
Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, the beloved Son of God, is the light and the life of the world, the true light of men, came into the world that was made through Him, but the world did not know Him. There were some who walked with Him, knew Him, and believed in Him who went back and walked with Him no more, and Jesus asked His Apostles: "Do you also want to go away?" But Peter answered: "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life, and WE HAVE AND KNOW THAT YOU ARE THE CHRIST, THE SON OF THE LIVING GOD." As the disciples of Christ, living in this world which was made through Christ and which man has turned into hate and wickedness, must continue to walk with our Lord, in the light of His word so we too can come to believe and know Him on a personal and intimate basis.
See John 1.66-69.
Unchanging God-Jack Blake
Friday, September 20, 2024Good Morning,
According to the scriptures, God does not change. Malachi 3.6. And Jesus Christ, is the same today as He was yesterday and will remain so forever. Hebrews 3.8. This unchanging God can and will change a life of sin and disobedience to a life of purity, righteousness and godliness, if we will cease our conformity to the world and study His word, know it and keep it, He will transform us through Jesus Christ, who is the way, the truth and the life, calling you from darkness and into His marvelous light. John 14.6; 1 Peter 2.9. And if we remain faithful until death and we will receive the promised crown of life. Revelation. 2.10. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. Acts 4.12.
Thankfulness-Jack Blake
Monday, September 16, 2024Good Morning,
Paul wrote in his first letter to the church at Corinth about being thankful to God and a reason why. "Thanks be to God who gives us victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord. Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong, let all you do be done with love." As Christ's disciples we must be brave and strong in the work of the Lord, spreading His gospel to others for this is God's will for us.
From 1 Corinthians 15.57-58; 1 Corinthians 16.13-14.
Let Your Love Grow-Jack Blake
Saturday, September 14, 2024Good Morning,
We are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. And I am persuaded that neither death nor life nor angels, nor principalities nor powers nor things present nor things to to come nor height nor depth nor any other created thing shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8..37-39. God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5.8. The love of Christ which surpasses all knowledge so we may be filled with all the fullness of God. Ephesians 3.19. If we are to have the mind of Christ, then we must let our love toward others grow just as His love for us. So let your love grow through study, knowledge and the doing of His commandments.
Hope everyone has a great Saturday. I am looking forward to being with you in the morning to express our love for God through worship.
