Be Ready to Give Account-Jack Blake
Saturday, July 06, 2024Good Morning,
According to the scriptures, each of us will give account of himself to God. Romans 14.12. We must all appear before the judgement seat of Christ that each one may receive the things done in the body according to what we have done whether good or bad. 2 Corinthians 5.10. Since this is truth, we should not judge one another any more, but rather resolve this , not to put a stumbling block or a cause to fail in our brother's way. Let us pursue the things which make for peace and the things which one may edify another. Romans 14.13,19. May the God of patience and comfort grant us to be likeminded toward one another according to Christ Jesus, and with one mind and one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Receive one another just as Christ received us; to the glory of God. Romans 15. 5-7.
Our Adversary-Jack Blake
Monday, June 17, 2024Good Morning,
Disciples, while doing God's will, be careful out there for our adversary, the Devil is roaming around to see who he can devour, he will go to any lengths and measures to try and lure you away from the only one who truly loves and care for your soul. Satan can make his ways sound and look so good to you that we too can become a stubborn, rebellious people, having a form of godliness and yet deny The power of God, thereby rejecting God and ignoring His words, crucifying His Son again, putting Him to an open shame. If we should happen to fall into the pitfall of his destructive schemes, there is still a way back to a right relationship with God, and that is through His son, Jesus the Christ, and repentance of our sins. It is written, unless we repent we will all likewise perish. Luke 13.3-5
Battle With the Flesh-Jack Blake
Monday, June 10, 2024Good Morning,
In Galatians 5, we are told to walk in the Spirit and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. There is a constant battle going on inside us between the Spirit and the flesh and these two are contrary to each other. Continue reading from Galatians5.16 to the end of the chapter and note especially Galatians5.24-25. To walk the Spirit is to walk in love, having the mind of Christ. And when I look at 1 Corinthians 13 and read what love is and is not. I have to ask myself, do I show this love to others and do I truly have the mind of Christ. I most certainly can do better!
We Owe Our Lives to Him-Jack Blake
Wednesday, May 15, 2024Good Morning,
Jesus was betrayed by Judas in the upper room. The other Apostles betrayed Him in the garden and at His trial. Then He was crucified on the cross at Calvary. Jesus the Christ, the most innocent man who not once violated any law, God's or man's, but was falsely prosecuted and sentenced to die by hanging, not by a rope around His neck, (that would have been too sudden), but by nails driven into His hands, His feet, a crown of thorns crudely pushed on His head and a wounded side so He would suffer great pain. And there He hung between two thieves. This He accomplished without a vile word, but said:"Father forgive them, they do not know what they do." and at the last said: Father, Into your hand I commit My spirit." He done this for you and for me, by carrying the sins of the world on His shoulders so we might be encouraged with a peace of mind, a settled heart, and a calm spirit.
It does not matter whether you are in Christ or lost in the world's affairs, know this we owe our lives to Him.
The Children of God-Jack Blake
Tuesday, May 07, 2024Good Morning,
We are children of God by obedience, we are sons of God by inheritance. We are redeemed, forgiven and God's, own special people, that we may proclaim the praises of Him who called us out of the darkness of sin and into His marvelous light. We were once without mercy, but have now obtained mercy. We are disciples of Christ, we deny self and take up our cross daily to follow Him, His example, and His pattern of living. Whatever we. do in word or deed, we do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father though Him. We are Christians, humans who are fallible, persecuted, and once without hope but now have hope through Jesus the Christ who lovingly gave His life on the cross that we might have remission (forgiveness) of our sins. He laid down His life for us, and we owe our life to Him. Hallelujah what a Savior!!
From 1 Peter 2.9, 10; Matthew 16.24; Colossians 3.17.
