Judgement Day-Jack Blake
Monday, December 16, 2024Good Morning, In the day of judgement, the ungodly will not stand, nor will sinners in the congregation of the righteous. Do not be deceived, for the Lord knows the ways of the righteous, but the ways of the ungodly shall perish. And yes, the Lord is long-suffering toward us, He is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. Scripture warns us that unless we repent, we shall all likewise perish. Heaven is a place prepared for the righteous; the righteous are prepared for heaven. See Psalms 1.5, Psalms 6, 2 Peter 3.9, Luke 13.3-5.
Make Me A Servant-Jack Blake
Friday, December 13, 2024Good Morning, Lord, make me a servant like You, that I might do justly, love mercy and walk humbly with You, my God. Help me to be loving, forgiving, patient and kind, just as You are. Help me my Lord to deny self and keep Your commandments that Your will be done on this day which You have made. I pray that You will give me success in all that I do in Your name. In Jesus name I pray. AMEN.
Grow in Faith-Jack Blake
Wednesday, December 11, 2024Good Morning, According to the scriptures, we, that is those who have obeyed the gospel, are to grow our faith by diligently, adding virtue, knowledge, self control, perseverance, godliness, brotherly kindness and love. For if these qualities are yours and increase, they render you neither useless nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Those who lack these qualities is blind or short sighted, having forgotten his purification from his former sins. Be diligent to make certain about His call and election. For if we put these things into practice, we will never stumble. Taken from 2 Peter 1.
Walking Worthy-Jack Blake
Monday, December 02, 2024Good Morning, According to the scripture, we are to be buried into Christ's death through baptism, then as Christ was resurrected from death, we too arise to walk in newness of life. Romas 6. In this new life we are to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. Colossians 1.10. Christians are to grow in the character traits of godliness. This is accomplished through God's divine power, by which He grants us everything pertaining to life and godliness. For this reason also, we must apply diligently to our faith, virtue, knowledge, self control, steadfastness, godliness, brotherly affection, and love. For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they render you neither useless nor unfruitful in the true knowledge of our Lord, Jesus the Christ. Therefore brethren, be all the more diligent to make certain about His calling and choosing you; for as long as you practice these things, you will never stumble. see 2 Peter 1. Having obeyed the gospel of Christ, we are in the Kingdom which He established. But heaven is not yet our home which is the eternal Kingdom we await. And we wait for it with eager anticipation. See Philippians 3.12-14; 23 Peter 3.11-13; 1 John 3.2,3.
Is Your Heart Right With God-Jack Blake
Friday, November 22, 2024Good Morning, The Lord does not see as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart. 1 Samuel 16.7. This being true, God desires the heart that is pure, humble, loving and obedient. A heart that listens, hears and does God's will pleases the God of our salvation. Man's circumstances and troubles of this world may test our faith and our patience, but it is the righteous God who tests the heart and mind and saves the upright in heart. Jesus the Christ said, "Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God." Matthew 5.8. Where lies your heart this morning? Will it pass the test of God? Is your heart right with God?
