Obediance
Compromise the Spirit-Jack Blake
Friday, May 10, 2024Good Morning,
In Judges 21.25, we read "everyone did what was right in his own eyes." And in 2 Timothy 3:1-5 Paul gives warning that in the last days. (in which we are living) perilous times will come: men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, head strong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of GOD, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! Friends and brethren, sin is active and on the move, it is never satisfied. Spiritual compromise always leads to moral corruption.
Father, thank You for Jesus and for Your word. Help Your obedient faithful children to not be deceived by cruel, unfaithful men of this ungodly and perverse generation. Keep us in Your protection, and give us strength to endure the ways of the world. In Jesus name, AMEN
The Children of God-Jack Blake
Tuesday, May 07, 2024Good Morning,
We are children of God by obedience, we are sons of God by inheritance. We are redeemed, forgiven and God's, own special people, that we may proclaim the praises of Him who called us out of the darkness of sin and into His marvelous light. We were once without mercy, but have now obtained mercy. We are disciples of Christ, we deny self and take up our cross daily to follow Him, His example, and His pattern of living. Whatever we. do in word or deed, we do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father though Him. We are Christians, humans who are fallible, persecuted, and once without hope but now have hope through Jesus the Christ who lovingly gave His life on the cross that we might have remission (forgiveness) of our sins. He laid down His life for us, and we owe our life to Him. Hallelujah what a Savior!!
From 1 Peter 2.9, 10; Matthew 16.24; Colossians 3.17.
Love One Another-Jack Blake
Saturday, April 20, 2024Good Morning,
To show that we are Christ's disciples, He has commanded us to love one another as He has loved us. (John 13.34,35). Paul tells us to put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness and lonngsuffering; bearing with one another and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another, even as Chris forgave you, so you must also do. But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. And let the peace of God rule in your heart, let the word of Christ dwell in you richly. Teach and admonish one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. (See Colossians 3.12-17).
What a blessing, what an honor, what a pleasure it is to serve the risen Savior according to His good pleasure.
A People-Jack Blake
Saturday, April 13, 2024Greetings, Brethren,
We were once not a people but are now the people of God who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy (1 Peter2.10). Now therefore, IF you will indeed OBEY My voice and KEEP My covenant, then you shall be a special treasure to Me above all people, for all the earth is Mine and you shall be to Me a Kingdom of priests and a holy nation (Exodus 19.5,6). We are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's own special people, that we may proclaim the praises of Him who called us from darkness (sin) into His marvelous light (righteousness) (1 Peter 2.9). Also read Revelation 1.5,6. Brethren, be careful out there for the eyes of the world are watching us and their ears are hearing us to confirm if we are truly God's people. Therefore, be filled with the Spirit, walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time. Understand what the will of the Lord is because the days are evil (Ephesians 5.15-17).
Which Way Do You Chose-Jack Balke
Thursday, April 11, 2024Greetings, Friends and Brethren,
The views of the world, and I am sad to say, even some who claim to be Christians concerning God and His word is nothing short of crucifying Jesus again. The tempting of God by raising up the wicked and instead of exposing their wrongs, blessing those who call evil good and good evil is just morally and spiritually wrong. But the true disciple, that is those who love and fear the Lord, empty themselves of worldly ways by crucifying the flesh with its passions and desires and deny self to do what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God. (Romans 12.1,2). They take heed knowing they too can fall from His grace (1 Corinthians 10.12). They feed on God's word daily to strengthen and refresh their faith. They know that there is coming a day when we all will appear before the judgement seat of Christ to give account of the things done in the body whether good or bad. (2 Corinthians 5.10), and they prepare their heart. Our world would oh so better, if we found more Bibles on the table, and mothers singing Rock of Ages cleft for me. Words of a country song; "Family Bible."
