Thinking of God-Jack Blake
Monday, May 20, 2024Good Morning,
What beautiful thoughts I am thinking of Jesus and the pattern He has left us about how to live a pure and blameless life. How He has taught us the true meaning of love and forgiveness toward others. How He speaks of the persecutions we may face in this life and how He will never leave us nor forsake in these times but will be our help during these times of danger. How He gave His life for us so we might have life and have it more abundantly. My faith looks up to thee, Lord, my will I surrender to Your will. I must have Jesus to guide me, guard me and protect me against the evils of this ungodly generation. It is unreal that He has taught me all that is good, and only requires of me to do justly, love mercy and walk humbly with my God.
What beautiful thoughts I am thinking. Thank You Father for Your Son, for your word, and for Your love which gives us salvation.
Our God is Alive-Jack Blake
Saturday, May 18, 2024Good Morning,
The fool has said in his heart, "There is no God." But that foolish statement is an outright lie. For there is a God, a living God and the heavens declare His glory and the firmament shows His handiwork. (Psalms 19.1). Our God is alive and well sitting on His throne in heaven, ruling over heaven and earth. He encourqes and helps us in times of trouble. By His strength He vindicates us. He is the all knowing one who knows and searches the hearts of men. He is all powerful giving and taking life as He choses. Oh, yes, there is a God in whom all faithful obedient believers live and move and have their being. (Acts 17.28) and we owe, we owe our life to Him. By the way have you talked to God today to thank Him for your every blessing, and to let Him know how much you love Him for being our God and accepting us as His children?
Christ Lives in Me-Jack Blake
Friday, May 17, 2024Good Morning,
Having been crucified with Christ, it is no longer I who lives but Christ lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave His life for me. (Galatians 2.20; cf Romans 6). Having said that, if Christ truly lives in me, I will have the same mind as He; that is being tenderhearted, loving, kind, merciful and forgiving.
Search Me, O my God, and know my heart, try me and know my anxieties. Search the deep crevices of my heart to see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. (Psalms 139.23,24) In Jesus name AMEN.
Our Battle-Jack Blake
Thursday, May 16, 2024Good Morning,
We are in the heat of battle, not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, powers, rulers of darkness, spiritual hosts of wickedness in heavenly places. And Yes, it is true the battle belongs to the Lord and He leads us and He guide us in this battle, so we can be victorious. But we are the soldiers of His cross, we are the ones who have to engage in every day hand to hand combat against these forces of evil. We are the ones who must remain loyal and true to Christ waving His unfurled banner high. Hear and listen to His words when He says: Contend earnestly for the faith (Jude 3), enduring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.(Ephesians 4.3). And as Paul told Timothy (1 Timothy 6.12), we must keep fighting the good fight of faith laying hold on eternal life and not growing weary in doing well. (Galatians 6.9). He has given us the spiritual weapon and protective armor (Ephesians 6.11) so we are well equipped for the battle. Stand up, stand up for Jesus you soldiers of the cross, lift high His royal banner it must not suffer loss.
We Owe Our Lives to Him-Jack Blake
Wednesday, May 15, 2024Good Morning,
Jesus was betrayed by Judas in the upper room. The other Apostles betrayed Him in the garden and at His trial. Then He was crucified on the cross at Calvary. Jesus the Christ, the most innocent man who not once violated any law, God's or man's, but was falsely prosecuted and sentenced to die by hanging, not by a rope around His neck, (that would have been too sudden), but by nails driven into His hands, His feet, a crown of thorns crudely pushed on His head and a wounded side so He would suffer great pain. And there He hung between two thieves. This He accomplished without a vile word, but said:"Father forgive them, they do not know what they do." and at the last said: Father, Into your hand I commit My spirit." He done this for you and for me, by carrying the sins of the world on His shoulders so we might be encouraged with a peace of mind, a settled heart, and a calm spirit.
It does not matter whether you are in Christ or lost in the world's affairs, know this we owe our lives to Him.
