The way of the cross-Jack Blake

Friday, July 05, 2024

Good Morning,

Blessed be the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again, a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. 1 Peter 1.3.  And blessed are those who know, keep and do His commandments that they might have the right to the tree of life and may enter through the gates into the city.  See Revelation 22.14.  The Lord God has given us all things that pertain to life and godliness. 2 Peter 1.3.  The Lord has shown us what is good and all He requires of us is to do justly, love mercy and walk humbly with Him. Micah 6.8.  Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the life and no one comes to the Father except through Him John 14.6.  Your word, O Lord, has given me life Psalms 119.50.  I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave His life for me. Galatians 2.20.  The way of the cross leads home and there is no other way.

The Steps of Christ-Jack Blake

Thursday, July 04, 2024

Good Morning,

God's will is for us to do good so the ignorance of foolish men will be silenced.  It is commendable before God if we suffer from doing good and take it with patience.  It is to this we are called.  As His disciples, we must follow the steps of Christ who left us an example by suffering for us.  He threatened no one when reviled.  He bore our sins in His own body, that we having died to our sins might live in righteousness.  It is by His stripes we are healed.  Make whatever you do today count for the glory of God.

See 1 Peter 2.

Created in God's Image-Jack Blake

Wednesday, July 03, 2024

Good Morning

God created man in His own image; in the image of God created him; male and female He created them. Genesis 1.27.  Every one, says God, who is called by My name whom I have created for My glory; I have formed him, yes I have made him.  This people I have formed of Myself; they shall declare My praise. Isaiah 43.7, 21.  We are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a special people that we may proclaim the praises of Him who has called us out of darkness and into His marvelous light. 1 Peter 2.9.  Therefore, by Him let us let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is the fruit of our lips giving thanks to His name.  For with such sacrifices, God is well pleased. Hebrews 13.15, 16.  You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory, honor and power; For You have created all things and by Your will they exist and were created. Revelation 4.11.

Praise the Lord!-Jack Blake

Tuesday, July 02, 2024

Good Morning

I will praise the Lord with my whole heart.  For the works of the Lord are great; the heavens declare His glory and the firmament displays His handiwork.  His works are studied by all who have pleasure in them.  His work is honorable and glorious and His righteousness endures forever.  He has made His wonderful works to be remembered.  The Lord, our Lord is gracious and full of compassio .  Praise the Lord, Oh my soul, praise His holy name and give to Him all glory and honor for He alone is worthy. Praise the Lord and be thankful for His mercy and His saving grace.

Life is like a vapor-Jack Blake

Monday, July 01, 2024

James has rightly said: "Life is like a vapor that appears for a time and then vanishes away." James 4.14.  This is a true statement because, it is also written that it is appointed for men once to die, and then comes the judgement. Hebrews 9.27.  It is God who has the power to give life and to take life as He chooses.  Today, this day, God has provided for us to live, rejoice and be glad in it to do His good pleasure. Psalms 118.24.  So, since life is short and death and judgement are real and coming, let us open up our hearts and let the Son shine in.  Let us hold fast to the word of life and do all things without complaining and disputing that we may become blameless and harmless children of God without fault in the midst of this crooked and perverse generation in which we live, and let our light shine brightly so others might see our good works and glorify our Father in heaven. Philippians 2.13-16; Matthew 5.16.  God wants us to live and be happy while doing His will.  Rejoice with those who rejoice and weep with those who weep. Romans 12.15.  God is counting on us, will we be successful in living and serving Him?
