A Morning Prayer-Jack Blake
Friday, June 21, 2024Good Morning,
The Lord will command His lovingkindness in the daytime, and in the night His song shall be with me-----A prayer to the God of my life. Psalms 42.8. Let my prayer come before You; incline Your ear to my cry. Psalms 88.2. Now therefore, our God, hear the prayer of Your servant. Daniel 9.17. The fervent prayers of a righteous man availed much. James 5.16. Prayer truly changes things.
Father, on bended knee we come to You this morning, with thanksgiving for your Son, Jesus, and for. Your word on which we firmly stand. We pray for You to intercede in the lives of many who need Your help and strength and comfort this day. We especially pray for our brother Mark and ask that You help him and Cindy and their family as You see their needs during this time of testing and wanting good results from those tests. Be with us, Father, and help us to be better servants to You. Father, we look to You for guidance in this life and for your help in decisions that we make for problems we face from day to day. May our decisions be acceptable to You, and according to Your will. These thanks we give, these petitions we ask in Jesus name. AMEN
Fear of the Lord-Jack Blake
Thursday, June 20, 2024Good Morning,
From Psalms 34.11: come you children, listen to me: I will teach you the fear of the Lord. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; A good understanding have all those who do His commandments. His praise endures forever. Psalms 111.10. The fear of the Lord is to hate evil: Pride and arrogance and the evil way and also the perverse mouth I hate. Proverbs 8.13. The fear of the Lord prolongs days. Proverbs 10.27. The fear of the Lord leads to life Proverbs 19.23. The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, to turn one away from the snares of death. Proverbs 14.27. Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is man's all. Ecclesiastes 12.13.
Faith-Jack Blake
Wednesday, June 19, 2024Good Morning,
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things unseen. Hebrews 11.1. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing the word of God. Romans 10.17. Jesus the author and finisher of our faith, for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne. of God. Hebrews 12.2. The just shall live and walk by faith, not by sight. Romans 1.17; 2 Corinthians 5.7. Without faith it is impossible to please God, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is the rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. Hebrews 11.6. Jesus said, if thou can believe, all things are possible through Him. Mark 9.23. Faith is the victory that overcomes the world.
Know God-Jack Blake
Tuesday, June 18, 2024Good Morning,
I serve a living God, an awesome God, who has such great power, strength, mercy and love for His creation. Do you know my God, have you tasted of His goodness, have you felt His power and His love, have you taken time to see the beauty of His creation Psalms 19.1? Sometimes I wonder if we don't get so wrapped up in ourselves that we overlook the most beautiful, wonderful things of life and fall back into the ways of the world? If after examining our hearts, which is what God is after, we should find evil creeping in, KNOW THIS: there is still hope to save your poor wicked soul, The name is Jesus, the beloved Son of God, the object is the cross, the event was the resurrection from death by the power of God which leads one to/ back into His loving, everlasting arms. Come out from among the wicked of the world, stand strong in the faith and the word of God.
These are my thoughts. Thanks for reading.
Our Adversary-Jack Blake
Monday, June 17, 2024Good Morning,
Disciples, while doing God's will, be careful out there for our adversary, the Devil is roaming around to see who he can devour, he will go to any lengths and measures to try and lure you away from the only one who truly loves and care for your soul. Satan can make his ways sound and look so good to you that we too can become a stubborn, rebellious people, having a form of godliness and yet deny The power of God, thereby rejecting God and ignoring His words, crucifying His Son again, putting Him to an open shame. If we should happen to fall into the pitfall of his destructive schemes, there is still a way back to a right relationship with God, and that is through His son, Jesus the Christ, and repentance of our sins. It is written, unless we repent we will all likewise perish. Luke 13.3-5
