Disciples of Christ are sons of light and sons of day. We are not of night nor darkness; those who sleep, sleep at night and those who get drunk, get drunk at night; we are not to sleep as others do, but at all times we are to be alert and sober, for we know not the hour when the Lord shall come, but scripture tells us that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night, He will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel and with then trumpet of God; See 1 Thessalonians chapter 5. and chapter 4.16. So rejoice always, pray without ceasing and in everything give thanks for this is God's will for you in Christ, Jesus. Come Lord Jesus!

Know that the Lord Himself is God, we are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise, give thanks to Him, bless His name. Psalms 100.4. It is good to give thanks to the Lord! Psalms 92.1. Give thanks to the Lord for He is good. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom He has redeemed from the hand of the adversary. Psalms 107.1=2. And let us learn to be content in whatever state we are in. See Philippians 4.11. Make sure that your character is free from the love of money, being content with what you have; for He Himself has said I will never leave you nor forsake you. Hebrews 13.5. In this country in which we live we are blessed in so many ways and we ought to be thankful to the God of our salvation for His lovingkindness.

Be patient, therefore, brothers until the coming of the Lord. Be patient, establish your hearts for the coming of the Lord is at hand. James 5.7-8.

It's such a pretty world today, look at the sunshine, look at the Son shine and every day's the same when we are with God, following the pattern of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. I pray that all will have a beautiful day.

God promised Israel and us that He would be their God, and they would be His people. At that time He was talking to the Jews but since then He expanded that to apply to to every tribe, every nation. So it matters not whether you are Jew or Gentile, God's amazing love and grace is for all who will follow Him, in obedience to His commandments. He loves all and wishes for men everywhere to repent and give their life to Him. Are you willing, are you ready?
