Our God is an awesome God; He does not change Malachi 3.6.  And according to the scriptures, His beloved Son, Jesus the Christ, is the same yesterday, today and forever Hebrews 13.  This describes God, our God, and He will remain so to the faithful forever and ever.  He is our guide even till death. Psalms 48.14.  You, Lord, are the same and Your years will have no end. Psalms 102.27.  Yes, the Lord lives and great are His promises to all who will trust and obey.  Let us on bended knee be thankful to Him for He is good; His mercy endures forever. Psalms 107.1

Thank You, Father, for Your word which endures forever, 1 Peter 1.23-25. even though heaven and earth will pass away, Your word will not from Matthew 24.35, Your word, Lord, is settled in heaven forever Psalms 119.89.  You are my strength that helps me in times of trouble Psalms 46.1.  Your name is my strong tower where there is safety. Proverbs 18.10.  You establish me and keep me from evil. 2 Thessalonians 3.3.  You are the God of my salvation.  And thank you for Your beloved Son, Jesus, and His sacrifice for my sins and His resurrection wherein lies my hope.  In Jesus dear and precious name this prayer is given.

Faith is more than saying, I know God and I trust God.  Faith is not doing things here and now so we can receive blessings from God in this present life.  No, to me faith is a goal with the end result of going to heaven to be eternally with my savior.  Without faith there is no hope.  Here on this earth I am just a servant of God to do good, avoid evil and help others on their journey through this sin sick world.  Without faith it is impossible to please God.

The child of God lives by faith, not by sight and has great hope in hearing on judgement day, good job faithful servant, enter into My rest.  Our focus should not be on the here and now, but on the hope of getting to be with Him eternally.  By this our love is perfected by us and we should be glad, thankful and rejoice even though for a little while in this life we may be grieved by troubles, trials, tribulations and temptations, and the genuineness of our faith which is more precious than gold that perishes even having been been tested by fire, may result in praise, glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus the Christ.  Peter said, though you do not see Him now, you believe in Him and rejoice with great joy filled with glory obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls. 1 Peter 1.6-9.

We all have memories of past life experiences, some good and some not so good.  Our past experiences are what make us what we are today. But we sometimes consume so much of our time on memories that we lose sight of our God, His Son and our purpose in life.  Some things are difficult to forget, still we must grow in the Lord adding self control to our faith.  This is necessary if we are to live a God centered life in the present time and make good memories for tomorrow. It may not be easy, but God gives us strength and courage to endure.
