In Matthew 7.13,.14 we read: "Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads too destruction, and there are many who go in by it.  Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it."  Jesus said it and I believe it.  Still it is a hard choice to make considering the crooked and perverse generation in which we live.  It seems much easier to go with the flow of the ways of the world, than to take the difficult and narrow way to life.  But those who are disciples of Christ must work diligently and soberly to make the choice of the narrow way if we hope to have eternal life with our God.  We must remind ourselves daily that our adversary, the devil is walking around to see who he can devour.  Be careful of choices you make.

...wishing everyone a happy Labor Day 2024.  Thanking all of those who labor to better our communities, the farmers who provide our food, to those who protect us and keep us safe, and to all who work and labor to make our world a better place.  Let all who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love.  Yes, be sober and be vigilant, because our adversary is walking about like a roaring lion to see whom he might devour.  

Enjoy the day and give thanks to God for all He has blessed us with including our labor.

Plants need food, sunlight, water and air to help them grow and sustain them.  Also man's soul needs food (spiritual), the Son's light, pure living waters and God's breathed word to help us to grow in the spiritual realm and be productive in His Kingdom.  Being thankful, praising God.

Seek you first the Kingdom of God. Mattew 6.33.  For whoever finds Me, finds life and obtains favor from the Lord.  But he who sins against Me, wrongs His own soul; and those who hate Me, love death. Proverbs 8.30-31.  Fear the Lord and keep His commandments, for this is man's all. Ecclesiastes 12.13.  The fear of the Lord is to hate evil; pride and arrogance and the evil way.  And the perverse mouth I hate. Proverbs 8.13.  Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through Me.  If You love Me, keep My commandments." John 14 6-15.
