The End Time-Jack Blake
Monday, October 07, 2024Good Morning,
To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven. Ecclesiastes 3.1. At some point in future time (known only by God) Jesus will return with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, with the trumpet of God, 1 Thessalonians 4.16, in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord, Jesus Christ. 2 Thessalonians 1.8. Jesus will never set foot on this earth again but will hover in the clouds and the dead in Christ will rise first, then those who are alive shall be caught up with them to meet the Lord in the air. 1 Thessalonians 4.17. All deceased will be resurrected, those who have done good to the resurrection of life and those who have done evil to the resurrection of condemnation, John 5.28,29. All people will stand before the judgement seat of Christ, Romans 14.10, 2 Corinthians 5.10. then all will receive their sentence of going one of two places; the righteous will go to heaven to live eternally with God and the evil will go to eternal punishment. Matthew 25.46; John 5.28, 29. Are you prepared, are you ready for that day to come?
Keep Your Eyes on Jesus-Jack Blake
Saturday, October 05, 2024Good Morning,
We are living in difficult and trying times. On one hand, God is telling us to be different from the world while on the other hand, our adversary, the devil is pulling and tugging on us to leave God and follow his evil, destructive ways. We can spend far too much time worring about tomorrow and things we do not have any control over. But Jesus said, do not be unwise but understand what the will of the Lord is and walk circumspectly; not as fools but as wise redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Ephesians 5.16-17, and turn your eyes upon Jesus for burdens are lifted at Calvary.
Count Our Blessings-Jack Blake
Friday, October 04, 2024Good Morning,
According to the scriptures, this is the day the Lord has made let us be glad and rejoice in it. Psalms 118.24. We have so much to be thankful for and yet there are many, even some disciples that will waste this day made by God to grumble, complain and worry over things far beyond their control, when what we should do is count our blessings, do good, avoid all evil and give from the heart thankfulness and praise to the holy name of God and exalt Him for the mercy, grace, kindness, patience and love He freely gives us every day.
Faith Is-Jack Blake
Thursday, October 03, 2024Good Morning,
According to the scriptures, faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11.1. Faith is a very necessary part of the disciple's life; for without faith we cannot please Him, for to come to God, one must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Hebrews 11.6. Our faith comes by hearing and doing the word of God. Romans 10.17. To be a Christian means we are in Christ and Christ abides in us, so we walk by faith, not by sight, in confidence that when we leave this body we will be present with the Lord. Our faith must be a working, obedient faith, a faith that grows as we add to it. James 2.14-17; 2 Peter 1.5-8. In the life of the disciple, faith is the victory that overcomes the world.
Forgiveness of God-Jack Blake
Wednesday, October 02, 2024Good Morning,
Our past sins were the result of character traits that the disciple must get rid of. All past sins which we have truly repented of, God has forgiven and we must replace them by virtues of God's character, see 2 Peter 1.3-11. This does not happen overnight, but is a process which takes time and patience. It is also necessary that we are diligent in the study, hearing and doing His will. Transformation is a rebuilding of our character and does not happen automatically by divine decree, we must embrace the process actively with all our heart and submit to God's training, however long it may take. Failure to do so can and probably will result in returning to our old character of sinful living. God have mercy and increase our faith. AMEN
