The Plan of God-Jack Blake
Saturday, March 30, 2024Greetings Friends and Brethren,
So God created man in His own image, according to His likeness He created man - Genesis 1.26. Then God caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam, took one of his ribs and closed up the flesh in its place. With the rib he took from Adam, He made into a woman, creating them in His image: MALE AND FEMALE He created them - Genesis 2.21-22; 1.27. He done this so man would not be alone and would have a helper comparable to him - Genesis 2.18. It was the eternal, everlasting God who done these things and they were done for His purpose. Woe to those who think they can change what God has created.
Moral Collapse of Roman Empire-Jack Blake
Friday, March 29, 2024Greetings Friends,
Sin was the cause of scandalous social conditions; rampant sexual immortality, disregard for life, debasement of women, divorce, and suicide out of control. They were an adulterous, perverted, crooked generation. But there was something better for the people. This moral collapse was survived by those who took personal responsibility for their actions. By receiving the word of truth and obeying it through baptism and by staying faithful. They continued in fellowship; worshiping, praying and staying active in the church. By studying the word daily to increase their knowledge of Christ and sharing it with others. And by evangelizing; spreading the good news of the gospel.
Read again the scandalous conditions that took place in Rome. Sound familiar? Then read again how Christians survived this moral collapse. Stay faithful, strong and courageous Christian.
Make the Day Count-Jack Blake
Thursday, March 28, 2024Greetings Friends,
Love never fails, we should never fail to walk by faith in the light of God's word. We must always strive to keep the unity of Spirit in the bond of peace. Do not grow weary in well doing. Lean on Jesus when the storms of life prevail, He will see you through for He has promised to never leave nor forsake you. Trust, obey, add to your faith, be faithful unto death and receive the crown of life. What the Lord promised, He will do for He is a just God who cannot lie.
Mercy-Jack Blake
Wednesday, March 27, 2024Greetings Friends,
According to the scriptures, we are to love mercy - Micah 6. Let not mercy and truth forsake you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart - Proverbs 3.3. And Jesus said " I desire mercy and not sacrifice" - Matthew 9.13. Let us therefore come boldly before the throne of grace that we might obtain mercy and find grace in time of need - Hebrews 4.16. Blessed are the merciful for they shall obtain mercy - Matthew 5.7. Therefore be merciful just as your Father also is merciful - Luke 6.36.
The Message of the Cross-Jack Blake
Tuesday, March 26, 2024Greetings Friends,
The message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, But to us who are being saved, it is the power of God - 1 Corinthians 1.18. In His letter to Rome, Paul wrote: I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes - Romans 1.16. The message of the cross is the precious story of Jesus. It tells how He was tempted, but triumphant. He was sinless but labored to save the world from its sins. Yet, He was despised, afflicted, tortured, rejected, mocked and finally put to death, nailed to a cross, suspended between heaven and earth with two criminals, buried in a borrowed tomb paying the price for our sins. But our Heavenly Father resurrected Him and He overcame death. Now through Him all who believe, repent and obey can have forgiveness of sins and hope of eternal life.
Father, this morning we pray for the lost who are perishing, that they might receive the good news of the message of the cross; the gospel of Jesus and would see the error of their ways that their hearts be softened and convict them so they would repent, confess and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for remission of their sins. Father, help us who are being saved by Your power to tell the good news of the gospel to all who might cross our paths today. May we ever be faithful to You and Your word.
In Jesus name, AMEN.
