Greetings Brethren and Friends,

Our God is a merciful God (Deuteronomy 4.31), who has shown us what is good and requires us to Love mercy (Micah 6).

Jesus said "Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy."(Matthew 5.7). His mercy is everlasting (Psalms 100.5). Mercy and truth have met together (Psalms 85.10). And the wise man said, "Let not mercy and truth forsake you; Bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart.(Proverbs 3.3). God who is rich in mercy, has shown His mercy to us because of His great love for us (Ephesians 2.4), "therefore we should be merciful toward others, even our enemies just as our Father is merciful.

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless His holy name, bless the Lord, O my soul! O Lord my God, You are very great; You are clothed with honor and majesty. Praise the Lord! Oh, give thanks to the Lord for He is good; His mercy endures forever. Psalms 103.1; 104.1; 106.1. It is the Lord God who created, and sustains us. By His grace, and through the blood of His beloved Son, Jesus, He offers salvation to all who know, keep and do His commandments. To those who remain faithful till death, He has promised the crown of life. Revelation 2.10. Bless the Lord, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name.

We can be victorious over sin, death and the spiritual forces of wickedness and have blessed assurance of eternal salvation. Victory and eternal salvation are gifts given by God through the Lord Jesus Christ.  But to receive and accept these gifts one must trust, obey and remain faithful to His word till death.

Rejoice in the Lord, O you righteous!  For praise from the upright is beautiful-Psalms 33.1.  Rejoice in the Lord always-Philippians 4.4.  Rejoice always-1 Thessalonians 5.16.  Pray without ceasing-1 Thessalonians 5.17, for men always ought to pray and not lose heart-Luke 18.1. In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you-1 Thessalonians 5.18.  Oh, give thanks to the Lord for He is good!  For His mercy endures forever-Psalms 107.1.  Give thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ-Ephesians 5.20.

When I look around the small community in which I live, I see old buildings being torn down and new buildings erected in their place.  And I am reminded that when we become followers of Christ we put off (tear down) the old man and his sinful ways, and put on (build up) a new man renewed in knowledge according to the image of our Creator.  The old man is completely destroyed, freeing us from all our old ways of sin that structured our life.  And a new man is erected with godly ways to structure our lives with love, mercy, kindness and forgiveness, praising and honoring God in all we do, think, and speak.
